A documentary about Dr Chee is classified as a 'political film', but not one on Lee Kuan Yew? Where's the logic?

When freelance producer Martyn See made a video on pro-Singaporean leader Chee Soon Juan a few years ago, he was harassed relentlessly by the police and almost jailed for making a ‘political film’ under the PAP’s so-called ‘Film Act’. However, if the film is about the PAP regime and its leaders, its producers can publicize it via the state media freely without being hauled up by the police for questioning. Despite PAP supreme leader Lee Kuan Yew being a prominent figure in the film ‘1965′, its local producer Homerun Asia insisted that it is not a ‘political film’. Though Hong Kong actor Tony Leung has been tipped to play Lee, Homerun Asia CEO Daniel Yun said the movie’s cast has not been finalized: “We need to find the right actor for all the roles, including the role for Mr and Mrs Lee, and I think we are not closed to whether the actor is not from this part of the world ...
