That is what the Arts Creation Fund is, in a nutshell. It was set up in 2008 to encourage the creation of more original local works with an Asian identity. These include plays, novels, visual artworks and music compositions. Administered by the National Arts Council, the fund has $3.5 million to disburse over five years.
