LONDON - He was one of the central figures in Manchester City's greatest period in the late '60s, and Mike Summerbee is still feted whenever he turns up at the Eastlands. Like all City fans, he has suffered for so long watching their biggest rivals rule the English top-flight, and Summerbee believes a Community Shield win at Wembley tomorrow over Manchester United could kick-start their season. Summerbee was part of a City team that shunted United into second place for the league title in 1967/68, and he also helped the club win the FA Cup in 1969 and the then European Cup Winners' Cup and League Cup double in 1970.
