Her face had been a mainstay on television screens for about a decade, having anchored three prime-time shows on MediaCorp Channel NewsAsia (CNA) - Primetime News, Asia Tonight and World Tonight - every evening. Then she left us feeling a little lonely when she went away on a three-year stint as a correspondent in Shanghai. You can't blame us for missing Glenda Chong. She joined what was then the Television Corporation Of Singapore 14 years ago as a producer, after having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism at Boston University. She juggled that gig while earning a master's in international studies from the National University Of Singapore, and quickly rose through the ranks to become that familiar presence on CNA.
