SINGAPORE - Singapore shares ended 0.3% weaker on Friday, as the government's latest property-cooling measures pushed down stock prices of property developers and banks. The Straits Times Index fell 9.91 points to end at 3,245.96, but was above its intraday low of 3,224.62. Overall volume traded was 1.90 billion shares. Losers outnumbered gainers 311 to 158. City Developments, which has a large exposure to Singapore residential properties, led the STI lower, dropping 4.6% to S$12.16, followed by Southeast Asia's largest developer CapitaLand, which dropped 3.4% to S$3.71. Keppel Land meanwhile fell 3.1% to S$4.73. Singapore's banks also weakened, with DBS Group down 0.8% at S$14.70, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. off 1.4% at S$10.16 and United Overseas Bank dropping 0.3% to S$19.16.
