[TODAY] A pledge to promote a healthy lifestyle for workers from 100 CEOs

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Manufacturers' Federation (SMa) has become the first trade association to take up the call to implement sustainable workplace health promotion programmes. On Friday, 100 CEOs, who are members of the federation, signed a pledge to encourage a healthy lifestyle among their 11,500 employees. Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan witness the signing. Both the Singapore Manufacturers Federation (SMa) and the Health Promotion Board (HPB) have agreed to cooperate on this. With the move, employees can benefit from programmes such as promoting regular running and brisk walking and smoking cessation talks. HPB will provide resources such as the Workplace Health Promotion Grant, capacity training and easy-to-implement health programmes tailored for small and medium enterprises.
