SINGAPORE - Asian Games silver medallist Ek Boonsawad took over the lead in the men's RS:X race at the ongoing SIM 30th Singapore Open Asian Windsurfing Championships at the NSRCC Seasports Centre at Tanah Merah. On the second day of competition on Friday, the 21-year-old Thai finished Race 4 first to top the 23-strong field with 12 nett points. Day One leader Lee Tae Hoon of South Korea is second on 13 points, with Hong Kong's Cheng Kwok Fai third on 17. But Hong Kong continues to dominate in the 12-strong women's RS:X, with Chan Wai Kei and Lo Sin Lam (both on 8) and Chan Hei Man (13) in first, second and third respectively. Singapore's Youth Olympic Games bronze medallist Audrey Yong is eighth on 31 points. Only one race was completed in the RS:X category on Friday due to poor winds.
