Four presidential hopefuls given go-ahead to contest

The four who qualify to stand as candidates are: former deputy prime minister Tony Tan, former Ayer Rajah MP Tan Cheng Bock, former NTUC Income chief executive Tan Kin Lian and former senior civil servant Tan Jee Say. The other two applicants - former JTC chief financial officer Andrew Kuan and former private tutor Ooi Boon Ewe - were unsuccessful in their applications.
