A promising young footballer at the NFA was forced to drop out due to money woes - now, he works as a deliveryman

It was the first step to his dream to don the red jersey of the Singapore Lions one day. Today, the 18-year-old is a computer delivery man working gruelling six-day, 14-hour shifts for $1,300 a month to support his family. He has not touched a football in two months. He grew up in a family who had little. Suresh was already struggling with money woes while still a 15-year-old trainee with Home United's Centre of Excellence (COE).
