33,000 Singapore memories and counting

SINGAPORE - More than 15 years have passed since Singapore won the 1994 Malaysia Cup, but Mr Muhammad Raydza could still remember the "awesome" feeling that he had while watching the Lions take on the Pahang team at the Shah Alam stadium in Selangor. "The most memorable moment during the whole Malaysia Cup, to me, was not the players, instead, the integrity of the fans, to come together as one, and only in this competition where we see strangers become good friends and buddies become families," write the football fan, who was then 17. Mr Raydza's recollection of the match, which Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong highlighted in his National Day Rally speech yesterday, is among more than 33,000 stories collected so far under the Singapore Memory Project.
