Transport operator SMRT released a statement saying that a train officer had discovered graffiti on the train. Initial investigations revealed a breach in the fence at Bishan Depot where the train was parked. It added that the breach took place at a location where upgrading works to the security measures were being scheduled, reported The Straits Times . "We are very concerned that despite stepped-up patrolling of the perimeter of our depots, this incident took place," it said in the statement. Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has expressed its disappointment over SMRT's failure to prevent another security breach at its depot.
