SAfer with Internet Explorer 9: Study

According to NSS Labs, an independent security research and testing organisation, Microsoft's Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) thrashed Google's Chrome and Mozilla's Firefox 4 when it comes to security from malicious sites and malware. According to NSS Labs' Browser Anti-Malware Technologies study, even though Chrome blocked four times more malicious sites and malware from a year ago while Mozilla's Firefox 4 fared worse compared to last year, IE9 displayed a warning message for 96 per cent of the malicious URLs. It blocked 3.2 per cent better with the program's Application Reputation (App Rep) feature. This provided a total blocking score of 99.2 per cent - up from its 99 per cent score last year.
