PM Lee urges Singaporeans to work together

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Sunday night that Singapore must make sure it gets its economics right and its politics right. -- ST PHOTO: LIM SIN THAI By Zakir Hussain Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Sunday night that Singapore must make sure it gets its economics right and its politics right. 'We are too small to afford impasse and gridlock. We have to work together,' he said. Mr Lee was speaking to 1,500 residents at a National Day dinner in his constituency's Ang Mo Kio-Hougang ward. He noted that World Bank president Robert Zoellick last week warned that world economies have entered 'a new danger zone'.
