SMRT takes full responsibility for security breach: CEO

SMRT will take full responsibility for last week's security breach, said its president and CEO Saw Phaik Hwa. -- ST PHOTO: JOSEPH NAIR By Royston Sim SMRT will take full responsibility for last week's security breach, said its president and CEO Saw Phaik Hwa on Monday afternoon. Speaking to reporters at a press conference, she assured the public that the safety of its facilities is a top priority. Ms Saw said she will chair a new committee comprising security people to review security at all its facilities. SMRT staff will now inspect every train thoroughly before they leave the depots, and check that the perimeter is not breached.
