New Straits Times Friday, Aug 26, 2011 KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday declared women as significant partners in the country's transformation plans. He said if Malaysia wanted to develop in leaps and bounds, the nation could not exclude women in the competitive race for progress. "They are the nation's smart partners. We have to get women on board because they have the potential that the country can tap." Najib warned that if Malaysia failed to include women in its development programmes, the nation would lose about 50 per cent of its potential to drive itself to greater heights. He said this when addressing more than 5,000 women attending the National Women's Day celebration yesterday.
