They were irrelevant in May's General Election, and they have been shown to be irrelevant in the presidential election. Many new media portals showed support for Mr Tan Jee Say of upwards of 80 per cent. But the actual results show an enormous chasm - as wide as the Grand Canyon - with the direction of online chatter.'
