Man who fell overboard bunker tanker still not found after 24 hours: SINGAPORE: Authorities are still searching

SINGAPORE: Authorities are still searching for the man who fell overboard a Singapore-registered bunker tanker on Monday. The missing man is a Singaporean shipping agent. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore told Channel NewAsia on Tuesday that there are currently 12 personnel deployed at sea for the search and rescue operation. Investigations are still ongoing. The incident took place 3.2 km south-west of Bedok Jetty. The maritime authority said it received a distress call about the incident at 4.40pm on Monday. It has since issued navigational broadcasts to vessels in the vicinity to keep clear of the area, and to report any sighting of the missing person.
