SF chairman Ng Teck Siong disclosed its plans during a walkabout with the SDA in the GRC on Sunday. Mr Ng said the SF and SDA have been in talks since last October and are working out details of a proposed merger. The aim is for the SF to join the SDA by April, ahead of the next general election, expected widely to be held later this year. If the merger takes place, Mr Ng said, the SF would contribute candidates to an SDA team to contest the GRC. But he declined to identify any names on Sunday.
