More stores will stay open during the Chinese New Year holidays

SINGAPORE - Shops at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) and Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) are among the many retail outlets that are staying open during the Chinese New Year holidays. Their targets: Expatriates, as well as Singaporeans bitten by the retail bug in between visiting family and relatives. It will be business as usual for the 230-odd outlets at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, as well as at the 50 shops at RWS. As part of the festivities, shoppers and visitors at both integrated resorts will be entertained by a series of public performances such as lion dances and acrobatic acts. British expat Sean Hogan, who moved here in April with his Taiwanese wife, will visit the integrated resorts during the festive period. Ms Victoria Cochrane, another expat from the United Kingdom, said she will also check out MBS. "I don't cook, so I am hoping there'll be places where I get a meal,"...
