It was also among the largest contributors to the infocomm industry's total operating receipts and value added that year. Total value added of the industry increased 9.2% to reach S$10.5 billion. Remuneration was among the top 5 business cost items across all segments, according to the report. The industry's average annual pay per employee in 2009 was S$75,900. Only 1% of Singapore's infocomm industry was made up of companies with at least 200 workers. An overwhelming 98.2% of the industry comprised of firms with less than 100 workers.
