As it is, Pasir Ris became the latest cycling town last month with the opening of its first 1.1km stretch of cycling pathway. The full 13.3km cycling path network, which will connect residents to the town hub, Pasir Ris MRT station and the bus interchange, will be ready by next year. Besides the existing cycling town of Tampines, more such will come up by next year - in Sembawang and Taman Jurong. By 2014, Changi-Simei, Bedok and Marina Bay will follow suit.
