Networking is vital, women expats told

The Star/Asia News Network Monday, Oct 03, 2011 KUALA LUMPUR - It is important for women expatriates to develop networks, share insight, knowledge, resources and experience in order to progress, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor said. "These women left everything to settle down in a country where things such as the language and culture and even the climate are completely new to them," she said. The Prime Minister's wife said they should not be discouraged by these challenges but should support each other. Rosmah said this after opening the one-day International Food Fair and Charity Bazaar at Corus Hotel here yesterday. The event, organised by the International Women's Association of Kuala Lumpur (IWA-KL), attracted 2,000 people who visited 25 food stalls and 18 booths set up by embassies and local companies.
