Friends of man missing in Greece alert ferry operators there, saying he may have set off to explore the Greek islands

On the night before he vanished, Mr Kouk had told his wife of two weeks that he might be visiting unspecified Greek islands. By Poon Chian Hui Friends of medical student Kouk Leong Jin are considering the likelihood that he might have gone missing while exploring the islands around Athens. In an e-mail message to his wife on Monday night last week, a day before his disappearance, the 28-year-old had said he might visit several islands the following day, but did not specify which. As that was the only time Mr Kouk gave any indication of his likely whereabouts before he became uncontactable on Tuesday night, friends are circulating his details to ferry operators in Athens. A classmate, who declined to be named, told The Straits Times on Monday that postings have been made on websites such as TripAdvisor to ask fellow travellers for help.
