Local donors support NUS Business School student exchange programme

SINGAPORE: A new Award has been set up by local donors to support the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School's student exchange programmes with prestigious foreign universities. The NUS Business School Alumni Association Student Experience Award offers a semester-long overseas programme. Each year, eleven students stand to benefit from the Award which will go to deserving undergraduates facing financial difficulties. They will get at least S$1,800 to defray expenses such as costs of accommodation and daily necessities. The School said local donors contributed S$278,700 to the fund, which will grow to nearly S$700,000 with the Government's matching grant of S$1.50 to every dollar. NUS said coming amid uncertainties in the global economic outlook, the Award will give deserving undergraduates some welcome financial support to gain overseas exposure at its part...
