In a rare personal moment at one of his last press events, he displayed a huge picture of street signs showing the intersection of 'technology' and 'liberal arts', saying that it was there that Apple was trouncing rivals. Apple's announcement of Mr Jobs's death on Wednesday came slightly more than a month after he had turned the helm over to chief operating officer Tim Cook.
