Good news for Howe Liang?

SINGAPORE - Last Saturday, Media-Corp revealed that a donor, who chose to remain anonymous, had come forward to help Tan Howe Liang with an undisclosed sum of money. Singapore's Olympic weightlifting hero is in line for more good news. MediaCorp has learnt that an announcement regarding a collaboration between the Olympic silver medallist and homegrown retail giants NTUC FairPrice could take place within the month. Last week, NTUC FairPrice CEO Seah Kian Peng revealed that they are considering a role, possibly that of sports ambassador, for the 77-year-old, who is Singapore's first Olympic medallist. When contacted yesterday, Seah said: "We want to make sure that whatever is proposed for him, he is comfortable with it first.
