'We are deeply concerned by the recent clashes, and call on both countries to exercise restraint. We urge Thailand and Cambodia to resolve their differences through negotiations. This is important both for their long term relationship, as well as in the broader interests of Asean,' the MFA said in a statement issued on Monday. The MFA also hailed Indonesia's efforts to promote peace in the region. 'Singapore welcomes and supports the visit by Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa to Bangkok and Phnom Penh.
