Last year's national productivity drive saw accountants among those who underwent productivity training. A poll of 436 accounting-trained professionals by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAS) revealed that 62% went for courses in 2010. A significant 92% of those who attended courses said the training had helped to increase their productivity at work. The ICPAS survey also studied the relationship between work experience and training attendance: Under 3 years experience: 44% attended training 4-6 years experience: 79% attended training 6-10 years experience: 65% attended training 16+ years experience: 66% attended training Respondents noted that training tended to be for core skills and not broad-based knowledge.
