RS targets No.1 in digital entertainment » Asian Media Information

RS hopes to become Thailand’s No 1 digital entertainment network by 2014, when more than 80 per cent of revenues will come from the digital business. Pornpan Techarungchaikul, chief operating officer, said in an exclusive interview with The Nation that digital products were set to replace media such as CDs and radio and would generate rapid growth for the company. RS has been aggressively involved in digital entertainment since 2006. “We expect our bottom line to increase by 25-30 per cent every year, driven by digital businesses including satellite TV, digital music, digital media and in-store media,” said Pornpan. “RS has reshuffled its business structure to cash in on the growing trend for digital technology that is reshaping Thailand’s media landscape.” She said RS expected to achieve Bt3.1 billion in revenues in 2011, up 10 per cent on the Bt2.9 billion posted last ye...
