SINGAPORE -- In a boost for bowling in Singapore, leading imaging solutions provider Canon has offered national bowlers the opportunity to join the company. It is part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed on Friday between Canon Singapore and the Singapore Bowling Federation (SBF) at the launch of the "Go4Gold" campaign ahead of next month's Nov 11-22 SEA Games in Indonesia. "The qualities that the bowlers have, such as determination and discipline are a right fit with our company, and as such, we're happy to offer opportunities to them in our company," said Canon vice-president (business imaging solutions group) Lim Kok Hin. SBF president Jessie Phua added: "The national bowlers have sacrificed a lot to bring glory to Singapore, so its only right that the Singapore Bowling Federation fulfill its moral obligation and seek post bowling career pathways for them."
