SINGAPORE: Many have returned to work on Monday, after the long weekend of Lunar New Year festivities. While some clinics said they saw more patients with flu-like symptoms over the Lunar New Year period, most clinics Channel NewsAsia spoke to said there was no significant increase in the number of medical certificates issued Monday. A family clinic in Bishan said the number of patients who turned up on Monday was twice that of Sunday's. The clinic added that it issued about 30 per cent more medical certificates on Monday, compared to the previous Monday. Aspen Clinic general practitioner Wong Kin Chan said most people would expect to recover over the weekend and would only see a doctor when they were still sick on Monday.
