USUALLY, when you board a bus, you whip out your EZ-Link card to pay the fare and jostle with fellow commuters for a seat. On board health screening buses offered by several local healthcare groups, however, you do none of those. Instead, you are greeted by a team of medical personnel who will guide you through a series of health screening processes. Welcome aboard the world of mobile health screening, where screening services such as mammography, Pap smear and X-ray are brought right to your doorstep. Similar to screening procedures done in a clinic or hospital, these mobile clinics are equipped with diagnostic equipment which can help to detect health abnormalities.
