Indonesia's finance ministry raises $783m in debt auction

JAKARTA - INDONESIA'S finance ministry raised 5.5 trillion rupiah (S$783 million) in a debt auction on Tuesday, above its target of 5 trillion rupiah, to cover this year's state budget deficit, the debt office said in a statement. It sold 1 trillion rupiah of five-year bonds yielding 8.22469 per cent, 1.5 trillion rupiah of 15-year bonds yielding 9.54102 percent and 2.1 trillion rupiah of 20-year bonds yielding 10.00894 per cent. It also sold 900 billion rupiah of one-year T-bills with a yield of 6.54688 percent. In auctions last month, the five-year bond yield was 7.51563 per cent, while the 15-year yield was 9.79766 per cent and the 20-year yield was 10.17492 per cent. -- REUTERS
