Golf: Wie admits heat in Malaysia will be a challenge

KUALA LUMPUR: American Michelle Wie on Wednesday admitted that the hot weather in Malaysia could hurt her play as she attempts to recover from a poor outing this year. Wie, 22, who competed against the men on the PGA Tour as a 14-year-old, only has two wins on the LPGA Tour. Asked about her season so far, Wie, who is ranked 14 in the world, said on Wednesday: "It's not been too good a year. I've not played as well as I would have liked. "But, we are here and I'm ready to play. There are lots of challenges ahead and lots of tougher players and Yani (Tseng) seems to get stronger each week." Tseng of Taiwan, who is also a former winner of the US Women's Public Links Championship, has won 11 times, including five major crowns.
