Obama quit smoking a year ago, says First Lady

WASHINGTON - First Lady Michelle Obama said United States President Barack Obama has stopped smoking and that she hasn't seen him smoke a cigarette in "almost a year". "It's a personal challenge for him," she told reporters at a White House luncheon to mark the first anniversary of her "Let's Move" childhood health initiative. "It's been a while and I'm very proud of him," she was quoted as saying by The Washington Post. "I haven't poked and prodded. When somebody is doing the right thing, you don't mess with them." She said their daughters Sasha and Malia "are getting to the age where he wants to be able to look them in the face (and ask) 'you don't smoke, do you dad?' And he wants to be able to say 'nope'."
