Both sides disagreed whether additional measures are needed to ensure employers treat Singaporeans fairly in hiring and career advancement, and not favour foreigners at their expense. The NTUC said an over-reliance on foreigners in both rank-and-file and mid-tier jobs has suppressed the wages of Singaporeans and also led to an over-concentration of foreign manpower in certain industri...
