For Open COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but which end up being used mainly for bigger cars - the premium registered a 13.8 per cent drop to $58,890 (from $67,009). Premiums for the popular cars of up to 1,600cc category, have also fallen to $37,124 from $40,123, or 8.1 per cent. Motorcycle premiums have risen, landing at $1,819 from $1,690. Commercial vehicle COE premiums have ended lower at $28,589, from $30,000.
