WASHINGTON - Despite the tough economic situation it is in, the United States' core strengths and resilience will help the country come out on top again, said Singapore's founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew at an award ceremony in the United States capital in Washington. 'I am confident that America's innate creativity, resilience and innovative spirit will allow it to confront its core problems, overcome them and regain competitiveness,' the visiting Mr Lee said in a speech at the historic Ford's Theatre on Wednesday morning.
