Singapore sends humanitarian relief aid to Thailand

SINGAPORE: Singapore has sent emergency equipment and supplies to Thailand to assist with flood relief efforts. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said a C-130 aircraft and a KC-135 aircraft from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) transported US$115,000 worth of relief supplies to Thailand. The supplies included tents, generators, blankets, lamps and water containers. The items were handed over by Singapore's Ambassador in Bangkok, Mr Peter Chan, to Thai government spokesperson Thitima Chaisang on Friday. The Singapore Armed Forces had also earlier donated sandbags, bed sheets and blankets to the Royal Thai Army to help with the flood relief efforts.
