HK singer-actress Karen Mok champions @CatWelfareSG campaign to neuter stray cats instead of culling them

Ms Karen Mok agreed to champion the Cat Welfare Society of Singapore's Spay Day after being asked by a friend. -- PHOTO: COURTESY OF KAREN MOK By Judith Tan Cat-loving Hong Kong singer-actress Karen Mok is lending her celebrity status to a campaign here to spay stray cats rather than cull them. Her image now appears on Cat Welfare Society of Singapore banners, appealing to Singaporeans to neuter their pets or neighbourhood cats to control the feline numbers humanely. This is the first time Ms Mok, 41, is supporting the society, a local animal welfare group. She is also believed to be the first international star to speak on behalf of animal welfare groups here.
