Savings? What savings? I don't need to save. My $2m salary for 5 years is enough for my retirement. On top of that add my $13,000 a month MP allowance. And then if I run again for the next elections, well, I'll be as comfortable as can be. So it's ok for Singaporeans to throw brickbats at me. It doesn't really hurt, my pockets that is. After all, I am "deaf" to all their noises, but not to my cash register ringing ! I told Gerald Ee to keep it as long as possible, and he asked whether it's ok if he has the final figures in 5 years time just before the next elections. I told him well, you should know how our government works, for example giving money to young Singaporeans by putting them into their education fund and then taking it back when they pay for their school or poly fees. And that wise alec colleague of mine who came up with a more brilliant idea to show we care of...
