Groundbreaking for S$60m Infinite Studios in Mediapolis

SINGAPORE: Singapore's digital media hub, Mediapolis is moving from design to reality. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday for the first building in the hub. The S$60 million building, named Infinite Studios, is a ten-storey development that will host Singapore's first two soundstages. Minister for the Information, Communication and the Arts Lui Tuck Yew, was at the groundbreaking of Infinite Studios. The building aims to bring together a wide range of media-related services such as broadcasters, service providers and digital media companies under one roof. It will have a gross floor area of more than 24,000 square metres. Media and entertainment company Infinite Frameworks will be a main tenant, occupying 30 per cent of the space, and will have state-of-the-art sound stages, boasting of special effects capabilities.
