Singapore relieved Egypt's political change peaceful

SINGAPORE: Singapore is relieved that Egypt's political evolution process has been largely peaceful. Responding to media queries, a spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry says that nevertheless, the road ahead is fraught with many uncertainties. And Singapore hopes all sides will continue to work together on the long-term challenges of building institutions to provide good governance and economic growth for the people. This is because Egypt's stability is important to the region and the world. On the impact of the developments on bilateral relations, the Ministry spokesman stresses that Singapore and Egypt enjoy long-standing and close relations and Singapore does not anticipate any change.
