(TODAY) Singapore to provide relief package worth US$50,000 to Turkey

The Singapore Government will provide a humanitarian relief package worth US$50,000 to Turkey, following the earthquake that struck the province of Van on Sunday (Oct 23), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement yesterday. The funds will be channelled through the Singapore Red Cross for emergency relief supplies. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had written to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday (Oct 24) to convey his condolences to the victims of the devastating earthquake.
