UNITED NATIONS (AFP) - UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on Sunday urged Israel to exercise maximum restraint and condemned rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip after violence killed 10 Palestinian fighters and an Israeli civilian. Mr Ban's comments following weekend clashes - the region's worst violence in months - came after an Israeli air strike on Sunday killed a Gaza militant just hours after Islamic Jihad vowed to observe an Egyptian-brokered truce. The Israeli military said after the latest incident that it had fired at 'a terrorist squad that was preparing to fire rockets at Israel.'
