The Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009 hits the road again this 6th Dec 2009! Be a part of the marquee race event which attracted a whopping 50,000 runners and more than 4,000 volunteers in 2008 — and is set to be bigger this year!! Singapore Sports Council (SSC) work to help Singaporeans make sport a part of their lives and one way is through the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 09 (SCSM 09). SCSM 09 has already attracted a whopping 50,000 runners. How can you help? Be a volunteer and contribute your skills and energy in what’s going to be the most exciting marathon! Not only will volunteer get the chance to join 50,000 runners as they race thru’ a journey of their lifetime, but they will cheer the runners on, hand out drinks and make a huge difference to the runners’ experience.
