SHANGHAI: More people in China are switching to eating organic vegetables as living standards rise and to increase output and ensure even better standards of food safety, one organic farm in Shanghai is looking to go fully digital. The system, believed to be a first in China, would enable customers to track their vegetables from growth to delivery. The high-tech organic Yi Mu Tian farm is located in Chongming island, some two hours drive from Shanghai city. The farm boasts facilities such as dome-shaped tents to help regulate temperature, humidity and light to ensure the perfect environment for its crops. Soon, farmers would also use mobile devices to control watering, fertilising and other processes.
