SINGAPOREANS are advised to defer all non-essential travel to Yemen for the time being, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The MFA also asks Singaporeans currently in Yemen to avoid unnecessary travel within the country, especially the areas where demonstrations are occurring. Those who are concerned about the security situation in Yemen should leave if it is safe to do so, said the ministry. It added that Singaporeans should be on high alert and monitor the news closely, and take the necessary precautions for their personal safety.
