OCBC Cycle Singapore 2011: Riding the work-life cycle

Until taking up a top job with Singapore bank OCBC, cycling fanatic David McQuillen (picture) never thought it would be possible to combine the sport he loves with work. The lure of the new post alone, spearheading a ground-breaking customer experience, or CX division, would not have been enough to persuade him to quit his "dream life" in Switzerland. But on learning that OCBC sponsored Singapore's biggest cycle race - and the country's national cycling team - any question over his next career move was put beyond doubt. Talking from the bank's Chulia Street headquarters, he said: "I didn't really know anything about OCBC. I'd been living in Zurich for nine years and had something of a dream life.
