@DavePovall @MagnusBackstedt Riding with Q-rings. My legs hurt but not as much & i was a bit quicker.
Some of you may have seen the write up of the Blingtastic Kuota Kebel on the Flamme Rouge website and been a bit interested in the not quite round chain-rings. I, for one, am not sure why Rotor called them Q rings as surely the pointy bit of the Q would get in the way of the pedal stroke (?) … but I am sure a marketing type somewhere was paid a lot of money to come up with the name for an Oval chain-ring. Rotor claim’s these rings generate 4% more power and 9% less lactate. I cannot tell you accurately how much more power you will be able to put through the rear wheel or how much less your legs will burn when you really push it. I can tell you that a certain Mr Wiggins has been seen using this type of chain-ring in major competition for a few years.
